We always seem to be drawn to pets that need us and not necessarily the other way round. We were out garage sale-ing this morning and met this sweet canary who is only about 6 months old. He has a beautiful song (the previous owners rolled their eyes at that... so maybe that why they were wanting a new home for him). In any event, Apollo now has a home beside my desk where he happily peeps away and watches over us all.
