Waiting...

As Craig walks the kiddies to the school, Shay patiently watches from our front (and currently cluttered) window. Oh, and she's decided to sit on the table.

Our newest additions...

Craig has been researching conures for awhile now. Not sure what possessed him to think we need additional mouths to feed but I'm always game for a new adventure. And what an adventure this has become. We found our lovely pearly conures and brought them home a couple of weeks ago. The are hand-tamed although the male is going through a nipping phase. But they are sweet and talkative and with time and patience will stop the nipping. We think they are about 3 years old an are extremely affectionate to each other. Our male is Pepe and our female is Rizzo (our homage to the Muppets). Craig jokes that we can now charge admission.

Oh, and I don't know what wrong with me, but I just figure out how to make my blog wider and the pictures bigger. Duh.

The 'S' word...

My kids thought the 'S' word was 'stupid'. I was happy about that... There are some many other 'S' words that came to my mind. This week, it's 'school'. I cannot believe all my kids are in school full days every day. Addison started JK this week and it has been going pretty well. A couple of tears on the first day, but she's a little trooper and has made it through. I can see the maturity in Quinten this year. He's walked in the school with his head up and no fuss. And Tyler is going to rule the school in the next couple years. He'll have a little posse that will be creating imaginary scenarios to be acted out on each break and everyone will have an integral part. Craig was able to snap a couple shot of the boys' first day on Tuesday. I took Addison over for her first day on Thursday.

 

This simply could be the coolest invention ever. As much as I want to be able to master my tablet, getting that first initial sketch onto the screen seems so much easier if you can sketch on paper and not on the tablet. I know the tablet drawing style is an art, but this is going to make it so much easier for me!!!
